NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 25 – The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and the Nationwide HIV and STI management program (NASCOP) has confirmed receipt of a number of product associated market complaints for Tenofovir/Lamivudine/Dolutegravir (300/300/50mg) tablets manufactured by Common Company Restricted (UCL).
PPB Chief Government Officer (CEO) Dr. Fred Siyoi stated that following the market complaints associated to discoloration of induction seal and discoloration of the tablets, the UCL is implementing voluntary recall of all batches of Tenofovir/Lamivudine/Dolutegravir (300/300/50 mg) tablets from the market as a precautionary measure pending the dedication of the impression and extent of the standard concern by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
In a press release to newsrooms, Siyoi stated that the PPB has collected a number of samples from healthcare services they usually have been submitted to the High quality Management Laboratory for additional evaluation.
