LAKE ALFRED, Fla. — Understanding the newest analysis on irrigation and nutrient administration for citrus bushes would be the subject of a workshop for citrus growers on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. College of Florida Institute of Meals and Agricultural Sciences assistant professor Davie Kadyampakeni and UF/IFAS Extension citrus agent Chris Oswalt will maintain the half-day academic session on the Citrus Analysis and Training Middle in Lake Alfred.
Classes will embody an replace on Greatest Administration Practices in citrus analysis, utilizing smart-irrigations apps for irrigation scheduling, utilizing silicon in citrus manufacturing, influence of micronutrients on younger HLB-affected bushes and an non-obligatory area tour within the afternoon. Every attendee will obtain a pocket book of the printed displays. Registration is required. Lunch will probably be supplied.
The workshop will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration with this system beginning at 9 a.m. The price is $30 if contributors register by February 8 and $40 after February 8. Licensed Crop Advisors (CCA) persevering with training items (CEU) have been requested.
