PIERRE – United States Lawyer Alison J. Ramsdell introduced in the present day that Chief Decide Roberto A. Lange, U.S. District Courtroom, has sentenced an Eagle Butte, South Dakota, man convicted of Theft From an Indian Tribal Group. The sentencing occurred on January 23, 2023.
Robert Chasing Hawk, Jr., age 39, was sentenced to 2 months in federal jail, adopted by two  years of supervised launch. He was ordered to pay $9,869.86 in restitution to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Aged Diet Program, and to pay a $100 particular evaluation to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Chasing Hawk, Jr. was indicted for Theft From an Indian Tribal Group by a federal grand jury in February of 2022. He pleaded responsible on October 4, 2022.
Chasing Hawk, Jr. was an worker for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Aged Diet Program. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Aged Diet Providers, Inc. supplies decreased worth lunch service for aged tribal members and people with disabilities.
