NCDPI was not too long ago awarded a $5.5 million grant from the U.S. Division of Training to assist bolster the pipeline of college counselors, social staff and psychological well being clinicians.
The grant challenge will serve college students in eight faculty districts, together with Scotland, Harnett, Pitt, Pender, Alamance-Burlington, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Catawba and Wayne. Challenge ADS will recruit, prepare and re-specialize school-based psychological well being suppliers, present journey stipends for internships and supply stipends for internship supervisors.
UNCP provides a two-year, faculty counseling licensure-only program for candidates who’ve a graduate diploma in a counseling space, together with habit, profession, medical psychological well being or marriage and household counseling. This system takes about two years to finish.
UNCP college students presently enrolled within the undergraduate- or graduate-level social work program can full a specialty in class social work.
