West Virginia College Public Well being and Basic Preventive Drugs Program Director Jennifer Lultschik has been named an American Faculty of Preventive Drugs (ACPM) Fellow, additional advancing her advocacy work on a bigger scale.

“It’s a terrific honor, and it provides me contemporary power and willpower to proceed selling preventive drugs and inhabitants well being in West Virginia,” Dr. Lultschik mentioned.

Fellows are acknowledged by the ACPM for his or her demonstration of “vital efforts to advance the preventive drugs specialty and mission of the Faculty.” Since her commencement with a Grasp of Public Well being diploma from the WVU College of Public Well being in 2014, Lultschik has embodied this mission by means of her mentorship and instructing.

As director of the Public Well being and Basic Preventive Drugs Residency Program, she has assisted in getting ready postgraduate trainee physicians to change into leaders in public well being and preventive drugs.

“I need to broaden our outreach within the state and area, advocate for safer funding for preventive drugs coaching federally and assist educate the following technology of physicians who will take up the torch and carry it,” she mentioned.

With this achievement, Lultschik plans to work with Federally Certified Well being Facilities and patient-centered medical properties to increase life-style drugs companies, in addition to with the Environmental Safety Company (EPA) on a venture to extend lead testing in kids within the Mountain State.
